Some folks who bet on MMA get real bent out of shape when things don’t go their way. They think the fight will start when it’s supposed to, fighters won’t drop out, and their betting plan is bulletproof. Then the weigh-ins happen, a fighter gets injured, and suddenly your slip looks as useless as a screen door on a submarine.

Where fights sit

You can find MMA on YesPlay under the Sports tab. There you’ll be able to see fights sorted by events and promotions such as UFC, Rizin FF, KSW, PFL and even our local EFC.

If you’re just getting into MMA betting, go to this link: https://yesplay.bet/sports/prematch/mma and quickly have a look at all the different kinds of bets you can place. Usually when you first look at all the fights, you’ll see the simple “Winner” market up front, with “Total” bets sitting right next to it. When you feel ready to branch out and try something new, click on that “More markets” button.

The rule trap

MMA matches are like a box of chocolates; you never know what you’re going to get. Postponements and date changes happen all the time. At YesPlay, we have rules in place about how these types of situations affect your bet. If the new fight date isn’t within 48 hours of the original, your bet gets voided. But don’t worry, because if that voided fight was part of a bigger bet, the bet will continue with the remaining fights still in place.

Keep it clean

Don’t like surprises? Then you should probably stick to singles, or keep your MMA bets separate from your other bets. If you’re adding a fight to an accumulator, just keep in mind that things can change pretty quickly in the MMA world and your final payout might be less than expected, especially if the fight gets cancelled.
